However, the Confucianism and Taoism in the traditional Chinese culture forged the intellectual's hermit mentality, they emphasized"writing express will"and persuaded"cultivate one's own moral worth",the cultural return hermit of Tao Yuan-ming was almost the aspire of all the intellectuals. So far, Chinese literature has experienced the May 4th New Culture Movement and other series of changes, the cultural connotation contained in culture showed diversified Tendency which reflected on intellectuals is the complication of cultural mentality.After having experienced the several culture fissions of Chinese intellectual's cultural mentality, the cultural universality was shaped due to the same or similar in cultural experience, ideological resource, social status ect. The emergence of this universality promoted literary trends which different in thoughts repeatedly, however,the tide always covered or weakened the cultural individuality and a kind of fickle blindly following came into being in the whole literature. So this paper takes Wang Meng who had special life experiences as research subject and explores the typicality of contemporary intellectual's cultural mentality.Wang Meng was influenced by Chinese traditional culture in the course of his growth, especially the"scholar"of Confucian culture. Meanwhile in his young period, in the reason of age and social, Wang Meng has long contact with Bolshevism, his"official"complex is more outstanding,"official"cultural pushing him grow up to be a young communist and producing deep influence to Wang Meng's later literary creation. Under the framework of the multidimensional culture, Wang Meng's movement in the unrest Chinese culture shows inherent complexity and interpretive. He is the creator in creating multi-dimensional culture space, his culture knowledge and culture psychology has a feature of transcending time and space. This article combines Wang Meng's experience of life and works, to make deep explanations in his cultural roots and impact from scholar and official. The first part of the paper discusses the cultural roots of Wang Meng. In grasping the connotation of the concept"scholar", to explore the Confucian culture and Bolshevik complex of Wang Meng. His culture roots is connected with traditional Chinese cultural roots, so Wang Meng's cultural origins is influence of the active participation spirit of Confucian culture. On the other hand, the objective environment of Wang Meng's culture growth is filled with political arguments and obviously ideology characteristics of communism culture. These two aspects of cultural influence constitute the revolutionary characteristics of Wang Meng. The second part of the paper discusses the characters of literary creation which is created in the influence of Wang Meng's cultural roots, especially to analyze the"official"cultural psychology of the"scholar"characters. Meanwhile under the cultural identity of"scholar"and"official", grasping the internal tension and examine itself between his identity of politician and writer. The third part of the paper discusses the cultural mentality characteristics which are formed in Wang Meng's deeply thinking and Culture accumulation. Through the multidimensional culture mentality, Wang Meng could grasp the nature of intellectuals with his multidimensional cultural psychology and the answer of where is the future of intellectuals in the special cultural circumstance of China.This paper grasps Wang Meng's forming process of his attitude to culture through analyzing the cultural root of"scholar"and"official"which influences him. Combining the character image characteristics in Wang Meng's literary work, the author rationalizes the transfer and behavior of Wang Meng's identity of"scholar"and"official"in the social revolution and his self-development. On the other hand, the author thinks deeply the essence of literature and the law of development, meticulously studies the cultural tendency or value orientation of the literary intellectuals through the Chinese contemporary literature development process. Through analyzing Wang Meng's literary work and his personal thought, as well as combining the location and analysis of the domestic and overseas research of literal intellectuals, the author eventually commands the literal intellectuals'attitude to culture under circumstance of present complex social cultural environment, finds out the mental disorder of contemporary literates and writers, makes a breakthrough in the bottleneck of self-creation. These two aspects are the aim of this study, which also objectively endows with this study profound realistic cultural meaning.
