The Research About The Modern Anhui Handicraft Industry

Nowadays industrial modernization is a very popular topic in the theoretical field, and this subject is also taking place in Anhui. The Reform and Opening was first started in Anhui, as a pawn on agriculture. With the continuous development of social economy, the proportion of industrial output gradually surpass that of agriculture, and turn into the protective elements of agricultural modernization. In order to resolve industrial modernization we must first start from the history of handicraft, as social industry is handicraft industry in traditional society.There are lots of favorable conditions for Anhui to improve the industry of handicraft and ti also has a very ancient and brilliant history. After the Opium War, Anhui slowly step into modern society, the old handicraft development process was interrupted and began the process of moderinization. The development of handicraft had many new conditions and was promoted by the traditional elements together. Imperialism forces continue penetrating into the mainland, and mechanical products with the endless stream privileges entered into Anhui. The development of handicraft showed different situations, a part of handicraft declined quickly; another part began the twists and turns back to thousands of the development process; a part of the emerging profession developed prosperously; and excellent traditional arts and crafts barely supported the industry situation. Facing expanding markets and advanced foreign technology, Anhui handicraft was self-renewal, strived to improve competitiveness. Handicraft played an important role in promoting of Anhui economy, but the limitation was considerable and developing level was not high. This was caused by many reasons, bisides their own reasons, also because of the uncontrollable external conditions.This article is divided into four chapters:The first chapter has a brief introduction of the reasons and conditions of the handicraft,such as the natural conditions, the commercialization of agriculture as well as the formation of some new modern elements;The second chapter is the main focus of this article, it discusses the changing process of modern Anhui handicraft. First reviews the history of the development situation of Anhui handicrafts; analyzes four trend of Anhui handicraft and the specific circumstances of different industries; introduces several handicraft mode of operation and technological changes; and finally makes a overview of the development of the industry in Anhui bases and liberated areas.The third chapter divides into two sections, respectively explains the positive role and existing limitations of Anhui handicrafts.The fourth chapter undertakes the earlier, detailedly analyzes the causes of underdevelopment of modern Anhui handicraft, its own reasons, economic constraints, cultural conservatism, political reaction, and the destruction of natural and man-made disasters.
