Sufism is a mystical teaching of the Arab, it is an anti-tradition, anti-rational doctrine, it respects individual intuition, (including dreams, wake up, trance, etc.,) to get the communication between people and the God. Although Sufism is itself a kind of mysticism, Lessing is not positioning it in this way, she takes it as an irrational factor can affect people's thinking, through the use of the active aspect of this irrational factor, we can excavate one's potential ability and can overcome the plight of one's own, in the end to get the highest level in our life.Sufism and the art of literature are closely related, but not enough academic research on this study, it has lots of blank aspects. The combination of Lessing's works and the Sufism is rather rare. In this context, the Sufism in Lessing's works becomes a new studying perspective. This paper put Lessing's works in the Sufism perspective, shows the concrete contents in Lessing's works which related to Sufism, then dig three important reasons for this appearance in Lessing's works, and finally reveals the modern enlightment to this study. This article is divided into five chapters, the first chapter is the introduction, it introduces all of the thesis and books about Sufism. The second chapter shows the relationship between Sufism and Lessing's works, as well compares Sufism and Freud's "dream theory" in the spirit of the two views of the two authors to identify the non-rational similarities and differences; the third chapter descries distribution of Lessing's work over different period to present the reader continuity of her Sufism work. The fourth chapter presents writer's own background, social and cultural environment to conclude how these factors effect her literary work, enables the reader to know the specific reasons of Sufism in Lessing's works. The fifth and the last chapter presents the reader practical significance and enlightens extracted from the Lessing's work and researches on the Sufism. All the chapters are arranged in such a way that reader may not loose interest to the topic and continuity; however chapter two and chapter three are the main essence of this research.
