In the Dongjin and Southern dynasties time,a lot of representative scholar-official believed in Tianshidao(天师道),such as Wang's family,Xie's family,Du's family,Ge's family and Tao's family.However,Kuaiji-Kong'sfamily had deep religiosity in the Tianshidao,so he had been called leading family and the core of family in the representative scholar-official of the south of the Changjiang River.Kong's family could be able to believe in the Taoism for a long time, the mainly factor was the rich cultural traditions of their family. In addition, geographical location and recluse idea; cultural exchange between the representative scholar-official and the support of political forces were also the important reasons. The long-term belief in the Tianshidao brought far-reaching impact on the Kuaiji-Kong's family: inherited the learning and enhanced the internal cohesion of their family; some of them got through the successful political career and improved the family's status and prestige. However, their conservative cultural attitude caused the more conservative family style,so they couldn't keep pace with Metaphysics and the trend of Buddism. In addition, mang people of the family involved in political unrest, its also obstructed the development of the Kong's family on some extent. On the whole,Kong's family not only adhered to the Taoist belief, but also conformed to the convergence trend of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in the Southern dynasties time.In addition, A series of setbacks didn't suppress the family's passion of inheriting and developing the culture, many scholars such as Kongzhigui,Kongxiuyuan,Konghuan emerged from the family after the Song and Qi dynasties. This not only helped to maintain the historical status of Kong's family, but also promoted the continuation and further development of the Dongjin and Southern dynasties' culture.
