Research On The Modernization Thought And Practice Of Chinese Communists During The Period Of Anti-Japanese War

Modernization is a series of deep transformations which occurs in humansociety after the industrial revolution, and it has involved in every aspects ofhuman's life and production. Modernization is not only a global trend, but also thedeveloping process which all countries in the world must step onto. Therefore,realizing modernization is a theme of social development and the historical missionthat the Chinese Communists have to undertake. Based on the file literature andexisting research results in academic area, the paper investigates the ChineseCommunists'modernization theory on modern China and the practice ofmodernization in Anti-Japanese bases during the Anti-Japanese war.The paper analyzes the historical conditions of the formation of modernizationtheory of Chinese Communists during the Anti-Japanese war. Various social classesin modern China had explored the way to modernization of modern China frommaterial, political and ideological and cultural aspects since 1840, but they didn'tchange the semi-feudal and humiliating status of China. At last, the responsibilitythat led China to step onto the positive development orbit of modernization fell onthe shoulders of Chinese Communists historically. After the baptism of the NationalRevolution and Agrarian Revolutionary War, Chinese Communists became maturegradually. Anti-Japanese war characterizes unprecedented and national war againstaggression in modern Chinese history, and situations both in international and indomestic environments were very complex in the war. There were different politicalstrengths and political attitudes, and ethnic conflicts and class conflicts intertwined.The complex situation provided an unprecedented broad stage for Communist Partyof China carrying on controlling complex conflicts and exploring the way ofChina's revolution road and social modernization publicly in public. Therefore Anti-Japanese war became an important period to explore the way of modern China'smodernization for Chinese Communists.The Chinese Communists proposed unique theory on modern Chinamodernization. The Chinese Communists thought national independence andpeople's liberation that were achieved with revolution was the premise of Chinastepping onto modernization road, and modern China's national conditions decidedthat modern China's way to modernization must pass through new democracy tosocialism. The Chinese Communists proposed the political, economical and culturalguiding principles which led China to modernization. China's modernizationprocess could be promoted truly only to break the abnormal and over economical slavery which the old social ruling class put on the ruled class, to get rid of thebipolar structure of traditional society and to establish a new and equality socialstructure.Chinese Communists not only investigated China's modernization theory butalso carried out multi-level modernization practical activities in Anti-Japanese bases.Chinese Communists'modernization practice made Anti-Japanese bases changed alot and modernization factors grew rapidly. Construction of the democratic politicalpower changed the opposite condition between government and people and the splitcondition between tradition and modern, and people's democratic rights wereconfirmed as well. In economic aspect, land policy of rent and interest reductionadjusted the relationship between the two antagonistic classes and liberated thepeasants from the feudal attachment system and class identify system. The bound offeudal ideology was got rid further through the foundation new democratic culturesystem and the education of anti-feudal and democracy to the people in anti-Japanesebases.Chinese Communists'exploration on China's modernization theory andpractice during Anti-Japanese war had unique characteristics and significance. Itscharacteristics mainly reflected in promoting each other between theory and practice,unifying between revolution and modernization, emphasizing human'smodernization. Based on these characteristics, the paper explained the significancethat helped modern China step onto the benign development track of modernization.It had great effects on the victory of Anti-Japanese war, and replied the issue ofrevolution and modernization's relationship during the process of modern China'development, symbolized that modern China stepped onto the way of developingmodernization independently, contributed to the founding of new social structure,and created a new mode for development of China's modernization.In short, the Chinese Communists'modernization theory and practice during theAnti-Japanese war was an important formative stage of Chinese Communists'modernization theory during new democratic revolution, and finally it laid animportant foundation for China to accomplish the transformation to socialism'smodernization.
