Research On The Clothing Culture Of Yun Li-A Branch Of Li In Hainan

As we known,Li is the original inhabitants of Hainan province,which is famous for their textile technology in the history.Yun Li,also called the"local Li",is the most ancient one in the five branches of Li,belonging to the Luo Yue's descendants of the ethnic groups in the pre-Qin Baiyue.For lacking of economic and cultural exchanges with other nationalities,they have kept a lot of primitive culture,such as the old tattoo and the pullover, the most primitive fashion shapes.The women of Yun Li also handled a set of advanced textile technology,especially the double-sided embroidery.Therefore,it is necessary to research the clothing culture of Yun Li for cultural protection and heritage .In this paper,based on the field investigation and the combination of academic research, the clothing culture of Yun Li is analyzed from the aspects of structure,branches contrast,textile technology,aesthetic taste etc,which in order to fill the record blank of Yun Li.Meanwhile, according to the difference on their clothing culture between the past and the present,a few suggestions about how to protect and heritage ethnic culture are given in this paper.
