Network Buzzwords Based On News Events

Negroponte in the book《Being Digital》points out that: the revolution in information technology will change our ways of learning , working methods, entertainment in a word,our way of life. Face reality,network as a fourth media is the same with nuclear fission impact and subvert our life.Network catchword is along with our country in 1994 after formally acceded to the Internet and gradually rise,after more than ten years'development,network catchword is not only the product of chasing trendy,it has become the mode of criticism,express opinions and make public opinion. In 2005,China Internet users breakthrough 100 million,and then, Zhou tiger,runaway Fan,peek-a-boo,my father is Li gang which is based on news events showed up,and gradually became a social and cultural characteristics. But contrast to the hot reality,few scholars study the network catchword which is based on news events,the few study more from linguistics,rhetoric,culturology. The author believes that,this network catchword is different from the normal network catchword,it is closely related with news events,from its emerge to prevail to decline,it is affected by social environment and the individual psychology,meanwhile,its spread and diffusion produce the multiple influences to the events and the society,so we need to jump out of a single discipline research mode,and should be placed it in communication and social linguistics, social psychology and much more widely horizon to study.This paper explores from multiple disciplines mentioned above,and combining with the method of empirical investigation,deeply analyze and research about the causes of such network catchword,innovation and diffusion,communication effect,in order to supplement and complete existing research,help the practice of news dissemination.
