The Review Of Chinese Subject And Topic Research

This thesis sums up and investigates the studies of the definitions and characteristics of Subject and Topic systematically. That makes people to comprehend the history and the actual state of Subject and Topic's studies clearly. Then these studies can fully and deeply be used to study their theories and applications. And they can prepare for the further studies. The main contents include:First, based on the confirming standard of the Subject, this thesis deals with some state on Subject.Some scholars supported the standard of construction to define the Subject, such as Wang li,Yan jingchang and so on. Some scholars supported the standard of position to define the Subject, such as Xing gongwan,Xu zhonghua and so on. But most of scholars supported the standard of synthesis of them, such as Lv jiping and Zhu dexi and so on.Second, based on the starting points of different language sect,this thesis sums up the studies of three language sect about the definitions Topic systematically. Charles Li﹠S. Thompson and Cao fengfu are the representatives.Third, based on the primary structure and derivative structure of Subject and Topic,there are three different kinds of opinions about the relationship of Chinese Subject and Topic. Some scholars think these two for equal and completely coincided .And some scholars think that Chinese Subject coexist with Topic. The others think that Chinese Subject and Topic are two conceptions which have different properties.
