Prosocial behavior is defined as a conduct which intend to help others. While as a typical antisocial behavior, aggression is an intentional act which make harm to the body and mind of the others, and the essence of its generation is the collapse or failure of the self-regulation which is caused by the ego depletion. Both the prosocial behavior and the antisocial behavior are common in the daily life, but it does not mean that they are simply opposite sides of the same coin. People can both incline to take aggressive and prosocial behaviors (e.g. hostile toward enemies and helpful toward friends). Although prosocial and aggressive constructs are not necessarily related structually, they are not entirely independent. Generally Learning Model (GLM) addresses the positive and negative aspects of media content may predict positive and negative social behavior, and put forward the important concept----prosocial effects, which means the content of the prosocial media may decrease antisocial tendencies or increase prosocial tendencies.Previous studies about the aggression and the prosocial behavior have attempt to observe the consistency that the impact of the aggressive to aggressive or prosocial to prosocial. It is less to get the evidence of the inconsistency which is the impact of aggressive to prosocial or prosocial to aggressive. This study aims at exploring the restrants on the aggressive behavior, which is caused by different induces of prosocial behavior. Taking the individuals in different states of the psychological resources as the objects of study, it can be explored by the two ways that can induce the prosocial behavior which are observational and experiential. In study 1, the research subjects, who are without the loss of psychological resources, were tested to explore the difference on the suppression of aggressive behavior between the observational and experiential prosocial behavior. In study 2, it is investigated that to the subjects who are at the ego depletion the effect of inhibition of aggressive behavior under the two induced ways. The results as below:(1) In study 1, normal subjects's (without loss of psychological resources) distribution of the hot sauce to others in the priming group after induced by the prosocial behavior is less than that of the control group. It is found in the post test that not only the observational but also the experiential induced ways reflect significant differences compared with the control group. However, there was no significant difference between the two induced ways.(2) In study 2, the prosocial effects can be found on the individuals in plight (psychological resource depletion), being induced by the different prosocial behavior. Compared with the observational prosocial induced group and the control group, it can be more effectively to inhibit the aggressive behavior of the subjects in plight so to the marginally significant in the experiential prosocial induced group. However, the similar result can not be found in the observational prosocial induced group and the control group.(3) Prosocial effects of gender differences do not exist. In study 1, the main effect of the sex test is not significant, and there is no interaction between the gender and the prosocial induced groups. The same result in gender can be also get in study 2. Therefore the difference brought by gender may be eliminated by the prosocial experiences.
