Sexus,Plexus and Nexus were writed by Henry Miller(1891-1980) in his late life in Big Sur, California. The three works are named The Rosy Crucifixion. They are focus on self-consciousness in many perspective. The article analyzes self-consciousness in The Rosy Crucifixion in the method of close reading on works, excavating in three aspacts of formation factors of writer himself,self-consciousness in the works and writer's mission, in order to have a better interpretation on self-consciousness in the works of Henry Miller's.The article has five parts:The first part, Introduction, research on Henry Miller at home and abroad. Summarizes research perspective of the article and explains academic value and significance, and has a brief outline on The Rosy Crucifixion and the concept of self–consciousness.The second part, summarizes the formation reason of henry Miller's self-consciousness. Owing to growth environment and social factors, he felt pain of losing himself, which made him have great sacrifice and effort for trying to find self-consciousness and reconstruct it throughout his life.The third part, on the basis of Freud's theory of Personality Structure, the article explains the self-consciousness of"Trilogy"from three perspectives of"id"﹑"ego"﹑"superego", it can be seen that Henry Miller's ego became mature from naive, and had a spirit sublimation from appetite to soul.The fouth part, discusses writer awareness of Henry Miller's and his historic mission of waking spiritual self in human subconscious from the perspective of writer identity. Only understanding self, discovering self, fining the home of soul ,and we can understand ultimate meaning as a man.The fifth part, conclusion, the article has offered some reference comments for reader understanding all kinds of heresy of Henry Miller's finding ego, has an attribution on self-consciousness in the article from many perspective, and reminds people the importance of knowing self. The part is a total generalization for this paper.
