Tang Dynasty The Memorials Text Language Features Research

In ancient China, memorial (general designation of instruments which are submitted by the liegemen to the throne) was a popular style. According to the ancient classification of articles, memorials are applied Official Document Style. As human society changed, these memorials have lost its text value, but as a national cultural heritage, it still has an important role in understanding and learning to study the development of Chinese writing.Over the years, in the documents research respects, only the content of elements and format specification were focused, and the Official Language Law was ignored. As a social phenomenon, language is changed with the social development and continuous. Language has its heritance, as well as innovation.This paper took memorial of Tang Dynasty as study subject, analyzing the language and style of memorials from five characteristics:pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, rhetoric, and discourse structure, but also compared it with the current official language of the current report to the class. Finally, it generalized the reference and inheritance value of the features of memorials of the Tang Dynasty.
