The Indo-European language has put great impact on written Chinese, during the development of Chinese, and many Europeanized Chinese Constructions have appeared in written Chinese. At first, these Europeanized Chinese Constructions were just used in English-Chinese translation, and soon they have been used in the original works by Chinese writers. At the same time, written Chinese has tended to be Europeanized.These Europeanized Chinese Constructions have always been paid close attention by scholars and there have been various angle of research. Some scholars have passed judgment on these phenomena keeping a foothold of reforming the written form of modern Chinese; the other scholars have made much effort on inspecting and proving. However, few scholars have put these Europeanized Chinese Constructions in the background of practical use of language, and given an impartial judgment on these phenomena, which is the research aim of this thesis.At first, this thesis will briefly introduce the definition of Europeanized Chinese Constructions, research aim and targets, the source of language material and research values. Then, it will review and analyze the research situation of these phenomena. The main body of this thesis will focus on the analysis of the examples of 11 common Europeanized Chinese Constructions in Li Oufan's essay. Through analyzing thoroughly the examples of Europeanized Chinese Constructions appeared in Li Oufan's essay, this thesis will appoint that Europeanized is not an appropriate way of the development of written Chinese. There have exited a kind of worship of Indo-European language in the development of written Chinese. And during its development, written Chinese should get rid of this kind of worship and seek for the appropriate way of development which apples for the typical characters of written Chinese. Finally the study comes to the conclusion.
