Under the diversified development of contemporary art, It isparticularly important to inherit and carry forward the Chinese traditionalculture, and to create works of art in Chinese style. During itsdevelopment of several thousands years, Chinese decorative painting hasaccumulated the elements of Chinese traditional culture, aestheticconcepts and expressed itself in a Chinese-style form. It is an importantresponsibility for artists to study Chinese-style performance language ofmodern decorative painting, and to create contemporary decorativepainting that has combined Chinese culture with modern people'saesthetic concepts .The first chapter of the article analyses the status and significance ofthe study of Chinese-style performance language of modern decorativepainting. The second chapter studies concepts of the decoration,decorative painting, decorative picture, decorative of painting andpainting of decorative as well as their differences. It also introduced theconcepts and features of modern decorative painting, style, and Chinesestyle briefly. The third chapter focuses on the Chinese-style performancelanguage of the modern decorative painting. This paper tries to discussand illustrate from the following seven aspects: concept, origins, characteristics, content and usage. The fourth chapter deals with cultureconnotation of Confucianism, Taoism, Zen and folk culture in detail. Itexplains the causality between the culture and Chinese-style language andconcludes that Chinese culture is the only creator of art with the Chinesestyle. The fifth chapter discusses art spirit in which the harmony betweenman and nature of the Chinese-style language can be made. The unity ofsubjective and objective is the basic idea of modern decorative painting.The sixth Chapter is the summary of the paper and it discusses the valueofthe study of Chinese-style language ofthe modern decorative painting.Studies of ancient art are the base for innovation. Contemporaryartists should respect, cherish and love their culture, believe in thenation's artistic philosophy. The artistic language of Chinese -style shouldbe used to create quality production which contains the distinctivefeatures of ethnic culture, contemporary realities of life and the spirit ofthe times.
