The appearance of the heterogeneous features all the works of Miyazawa Kenji, which meanwhile overflow with his love toward the heterogeneous. The thesis is to be unfolded over three parts in a collective effort to discuss the open heart to the heterogeneous.First, as is demonstrated in ((The April of Yamaotoko)), the human attitude toward the heterogeneous is addressed. The author's attitude toward the heterogeneous is well revealed through that of the people surrounding Yamaotoko, who, unlike other writers, creates the image of probity and purity for the heterogeneous rather than considers them as monsters exerting themselves to serve the devil. Miyazawa Kenji is always ready to accept the heterogeneous with a warm heart.Second, as is exemplified in((The Beginning of Deer's Dancing)), the insurmountable barrier between the human beings and heterogeneous is revealed. It is undeniable that humans are to be rejected, when go deep into a world of the heterogeneous. Knowing well the fact that there exists an unbridgeable gap between the worlds of human beings and the heterogeneous, Miyazawa Kenji still features his works with his attention to the heterogeneous. Therefore, one may wonder what the reason is and drive for his persistence?Third, in instances like《A Good-natured Volcanic Stone》,《The Forest Planted by Kennjyuu》and《The Chief of Police Who Likes Making Poison》,the value of the protagonists, "Volcanic Stone, kennjyuu, the Chief of Police", is well elaborated. It is discussed in this part the special value of the author that "nothing has any attribute of good or evil and whatever exists is reasonable" as well as his wish that "all the prejudices should be eliminated for an equal view on everything". A scrutiny on Miyazawa Kenji's belief can well reveal the close connection between his special value and his lifetime belief in Saddharmapundarika Sutra. The idea of "Syohoujissou (real content of various law)" in Saddharmapundarika Sutra exerting great influence on Miyazawa Kenji, enables him to understand and accept the heterogeneous with open and relent heart.
