ViatcheslawSemionov, an eminent russian accordionist and composer. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest accordionists of the 20th century and is still continuing his active career in the world. He composed and transcribed many works for accordion and also taught many excellent accordionists.Brahmsiana Rhapsody, composed in 1996 by Semionov, is a transcription of three Brahms′works specially for Bayan with admiration for Brahms, one of the leading musicians of the Romantic Period.This paper provides a deep analysis of Brahmsiana Rhapsody in three parts. Firstly, it introduces the contributions of Semionov to the art of Bayan. Secondly, it analyses the background and structure of musical forms. In the last part the performance techniques and skills of this works are analyzed. Generally this paper provides a more comprehensive performance technique in a higher standard for performers and helps them understand this work more accurately and appropriately.
