Clothing hangtag is not only a tiny billboard, but also a link between clothes and consumers. Hangtags make words, patterns and colors into some kinds of visual signs, through which consumers discriminate the information of clothes when they are going shopping. In every theme style, sellers will add an interesting card which is accordance with the theme. Usually, the content is the logo, slogan or mascot which highly accord with a certain theme.Therefore, clothing hangtag has a positive effect on improving image of clothing enterprises, and also is inevitable outcome of modern fashion.This thesis analyses the historical and current situations of clothing hangtag design and raises the hangtag-research directions. At the mean time, it introduces values, materials and technologies of garment hangtags and expounds vital impacts of hangtags on image-improving and product-promoting.Hangtags with brand styles is the important extend of clothes companies'image. This thesis concentrates on patterns, words, colors and information arrangement of hangtags, and studies the visual recognition theories of hangtags in order to show the importance on designing. At the same time, it expounds its values of aesthetic, emotional interaction, personality, image, economy and multi-element.We can conclude the communicating principles from analyzing on application kinds, brand culture, areal culture, consuming groups and action-guiding in different point of views. Design them accord with the visual recognition, practical and durable traits to achieve the purpose of clothing hangtag designing.At the same time when concluding the current hangtag-design situations, we put an eye into the future. In terms of conclusion in new tactics of designing, high quality clothes should have corresponding hangtag-design. If the product is unworthy of the name, it would not obtain due interest. In such a multi-element and information time, it is very important to make the complex designs into simple ones, and put the traditional, emotional and cultural elements into the hangtag-designing to show their creativeness and personalities.Clothing hangtag is a good kind of collection. After its silent promotion missions, it becomes collectible which is attractive to achieve the goals of visual-communication. Hangtags will play as fire-new roles march toward to the beautiful and harmony future.Designing also is a important way of emotional communication and cultural continuing. People feel spiritual pleasant and beautiful enjoyment through designing. Clothing hangtag designing has the reality meaning from the view of multi-dimensions designing as the emotional link between clothes and consumers.
