| Sibo-one of the ethnic minorities associated with heroic and ancient in China, is mainly distributed in Qapqal of Sinkiang province and Northeast China. Located separately in the Northwest and Northeast with different living conditions, but rooted in the same traditional ethnic culture spirit, the Sibo people possess folk songs reflecting their tenacious ethnic spirits and enthusiastic life attitudes. Due to the particular historical development and geographical environment, Sibo has cultivated abundant art fruits which are great treasures belonging to the national minority cultures. From perspectives of the survival, protection, inheritance and development of national culture and art, the author referenced theories on Art and research achievements on national vocal music, adopted methods of Fieldwork, Questionnaire and Literature Analysis, and then studied intensively on the Sibo-folk singing, aiming at diversely extracting their artistic value and striving for ways to save them.Besides the introduction and conclusion, there are four parts in this thesis:Part1introduced the existent culture-background and evolution of Sibo folk songs with a combination of vast historical records. Inclusively, Section1and2described the ecological environment, history, language and custom of Sibo residence; Section3and4explained the classification, formation and evolution of Sibo folk songs.Part2emphasized the singing and artistic characteristics of Sibo folk songs. Sequentially, Section1to4detailedly analyzed the singing style, singing skills, lyrics meter and melody.Part3summarized five kinds of inheritance ways of Sibo folk songs based on the massive literature and fieldwork, including family inheritance, professional inheritance, folk-custom and ritual inheritance, educational inheritance and media inheritance. Each section distinctly represents one kind inheritance way.Part4academically and professionally understood and explained how to develop the original form of Sibo folk songs, with the innovation of lyric writing, singing-method absorption and singing-form enrichment. An attempt to artistically recreate Sibo folk songs without destroying the original culture deposits was done to improve the structure, enrich content, inspire fashion, activate art-infection and firm foundation for sustainably handing them down from generation to generation. |
