Choosing the common used taste perceptual words of the Chinese and Korean as the research object, on the basis of paraphrase of taste perceptual words in the 'Contemporary Chinese dictionary (Fifth Edition), Ancient and Modern Chinese dictionary, Contemporary Chinese Standard dictionary, Standard Korean dictionary, Donga Mate Korean dictionary, Yonsei Korean dictionary', using the theory and methods of contrastive linguistics, cognitive linguistics, cultural linguistics, this paper made a systematically comparative study on the taste perceptual words of the Chinese and Korean from cognitive semantics aspects.From the article's structure, the thesis is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is an introduction, including the research purpose, significance, trends, content and methods.The second chapter gave an outline of cognitive linguistics theory and its application in the taste perceptual words, including property of metaphor theory and theory of synesthesia and inspecting the project of taste perceptual words in metaphor theory and theory of synesthesia.The third chapter focuses on the definition of some concepts, including the attributes of the taste perceptual, the defining of the taste perceptual word, as well as the definition of the basic taste perceptual terms in Chinese and Korean.The fourth chapter is analysis and comparison on basic taste words in Chinese and Korean. combining the Cognitive Semantics of Metaphor in cognitive mechanisms and a sense of projection mechanism, this paper analysed the cultural meaning of the word of the taste system. Because humans have the common sense of taste and taste physiological mechanisms, and humankind's cognitive stylc, there are some common cognitive semantic development of the basic taste words in both Chinese and Korean language. The people will extend the meaning of the taste perceptual words from taste domain to other physiological sensory domain, mental emotional domain, the domain of social life, personality traits, and so on. But because vocabulary form show differences in the two languages, and taste perceptual words itself has fuzziness, makes some differences between Chinese and Korean.Chapter5is the conclusion.In short, through the comparison of the commonly used taste perceptual word formation, and cognitive semantics between the two languages, we can not only deepen our understanding on the features of the color words of the two languages but also get to know more on the historical culture, life custom, thinking mode, character of the two ethnics, all these things has certain practical significance on the cross-cultural communication, second language teaching and the cquivalent translation on the taste perceptual word between Chinese and Korean.
