Ancient Uyghur underwent the Turkic Khanate, the Uighur Khanate, the Karahan, the Chagatai Khanate. The ancient Uighur has used the ancient Turkic, Uighur, Mani text, Brahmi text (also known as the ancient Yanqi-Qiuci text), Sogdian, Tibetan and the Syriac text. Uighur is created on the base of Sogdian in the Gaochang Uighur Khanate (about850-1250), and the Uighurs created and translated many works, such as "Qutadghu Bilik","Altun yaruk","Xuanzangning biogirafiyisi","Qocu sozlüki","Maitri simit" and so on. Today the Uighur documents Preserved have content-rich, involving a wide range of the society, which provide many important historical data for the study of ancient Uyghur society.The legend of Oghuz Khan is a heroic epic circulating in the Uyghur folk, the script of which was produced about in the eighth century. Initially, it was spread one by one, then the formation of written literature was finished in13th century. The legend of Oghuz Khan was produced in an earlier era, and the content enriched the more detailed about economic, military, cultural, religious and other fields. From the legend of Oghuz Khan, we can see the appearance of century in13th century, and compare to other Uighur literatures of different historical periods, we can find out the development and evolution of the Uighur; the text embodies many of Shamanism religious thought. Shamanism is the religion of the original universal human belief, and from the text we can get a glimpse into the various traces of shamanism; In addition, the contents of the text are related with some real history, so they can confirm some complements in the Chinese Historical.
