The New Generation Of Composers The Cong Solo Vocal Works Analysis

Cong Liu is a famous melodist of "new generation" from Shenyang Conservatory of Music in China. His main creation direction lies in art song and representative works are Gu Yuan Lian and Niao Er Zai Feng Zhong Ge Chang. The author admires his works since have worked on vocal music. His works are employed to be test pieces by more and more vocal competition candidates for the great success brought by these works. The author is quite familiar with his process of art song creation. This thesis aims at investigating the creative features and singing features of his works systematically through deeply research his works, including which bring him to fame and representative works.This thesis consists of four paragraphs. The first paragraph is introduction, the selection reason, research status and the selected topic basis are discussed here. The second paragraph explains the origin of "new generation" and introduces the process of art song creation of Cong Liu. The third paragraph focuses on the creative features of Cong Liu's works, the author investigates the creative features and creative style of Cong Liu through several aspects such as the types of works, background, creation method and piano accompaniment. In the last paragraph, the author investigates Cong Liu's representative works through lyric, creation background and singing or even recreation.Conclusions:The works of Cong Liu are elaborately created, especially in style selection and piano accompaniment. The selection of style is based on "eternal" while the piano accompaniments are basically done during the creation of works. Unique creative method and aesthetical applying of chorus integrates style, melody, piano accompaniment together to form extraordinary works. The research of works of Cong Liu has great reference value for author and other vocalists who perform his works. Besides, under the situation of economic prosperity and political stability, we encourage more melodists learn from Cong Liu and create more characteristic vocal works to contribute to the music undertaking of China.
