On Sri Lanka Ren Creation Features And Artistic Characteristics

By analyzing the composer Siren's years of artistic experience and composing style, this paper identifies his pursuit of the artistic style and the main characteristics of creation. Siren, aiming to create Mongolia's own music and promote the national music to catch up with the international trend, has been devoting himself to integrate the western traditional and modern composition methodology into the Mongolian typical music. He creates a large number of vocal music with ethnic styles, instrumental music, concertos, operas, etc, and earns great appreciation from the public.This paper contains three characters, which sort out the main creation in different periods of Siren's life and summarize his effective methods for the combination of Mongolian and western elements without loss of nationality, and provides a reference to the professional creation of ethnic minorities'music. In order to find out the means by which Siren combines the Mongolian musical elements with the western composing method, this paper focuses on the research of morphological characteristics and the internal laws of his music and describes various characters and stories. It also analyzes how Siren successfully uses the same musical element into different works and creates vivid figures by various elements. Besides, this paper provides comprehensive research of the creation characteristic of the melody and the use of harmony, polyphony, mode, and texture.Not only do Siren's works show great innovation, both in the modernization of national music--including the melody, musical structures, rhythm, harmonic composition, polyphony, and the selected themes--and in the playing skills, but also provide some enlightenment for the diversification and internationalization of the national music. Siren, both in the integral style and logics and in the technical details, has reached a high degree of professional proficiency. This is closely related to his thirty-year persistent pursuit and hard work. This paper gives a very high appreciation to Siren's composition and his teaching on composition skills.
