With the development of multimedia and network technology, the step of college English teachingreform has accelerated more and more. The traditional teaching mode of a pen, a blackboard and a bookhas been replaced by the web-based computer-aided teaching to gradually make the teaching of collegeEnglish networking, independent and personalized. The2007College English Curriculum Requirementsclearly presented that the goal of college English teaching is to develop students' English synthesisapplication ability, and constantly consolidate and internalize English knowledge by writing in order topave the way for the comprehensive development of English language skill. Micriblogging, as therepresentative of Web2.0era, has achieved an unprecedently development in the field of social, newsspread and communication since2009. Its miniaturization, timeless, collaborative, and multi-modal,cross-platform exchange and seamless connectivity features offer a new way for the integration oftechnology and language writing. Learners can release, comment, exchange ideas through themicroblogging platform in order to achieve the situated, collaboration, autonomy of English writing.On the basis of a general survey of current college English writing situation, this paper firstly analyzedthe theoretical basis of English writing and teaching mode, then make a brief description of the content,characteristics and educational applications of microblogging. Subsequently, with the collaborative learningtheory and constructivist learning theory as a guiding principle, supported with the Sina openmicroblogging platform, a college English collaborative writing class was created, and a new Englishwriting teaching mode was put forward together with the general process and implementation procedures.Finally, two natural classes of Computer Science department form Henan normal university was selected asthe research subjects, and we set experimental class and comparative class, take a practice of teaching bycreating situations-team collaboration-write the first draft-companion modify-teacher evaluation to verifythe effectiveness of the initial writing mode through questionnaires and interviews.The results show that:(1) The collaborative writing mode based on microblogging compensate for thedrawbacks of traditional English writing mode to a certain extent, and significantly improved students'writing enthusiasm and writing attitude.(2)Writing based on microblogging enhanced communication between teachers and students, and improved students' cooperative learning and self-learning ability.(3)The English writing instruction based on microblogging effectively enhanced learners' English writingability.The innovation of the research is that it brings microblogging to the teaching of college Englishwriting, and try to change the traditional college English writing teaching model by constructing an Englishcollaborative writing teaching mode based on microblogging, hoping to bring new ideas and methods forthe teaching reform of college English writing in the network environment.
