Study About The Irony Theorys Chinese Process Of New Criticism

In20Century's trend of thought in literature and art, the new criticism can be saidto be the most important theory, and "irony" is the central theory of it. With the passageof time, the last century's bright moment of new criticism and its irony theroy had fadedout of our sight, but a series of literary criticism's principle and methods which wereadvanced by them have made great effections to the later development of literary theoryas well as literary criticism. At the same time, the new criticism had been wedded toChinese literary world from its naissance. From the30s and40s of the last century tonow, during its far-flung journey in China, the new criticism and its irony theory alwaysdid a gradual and imperceptible influence to the course of our literary theory, literatureand literary criticism, and itself also experienced an process in Chinese way.This article will try to systematically analyse the acceptance background andacceptance conditon in theory and practice of new criticism's irony theory, on the basisof tracing the source of it, then find out the phenomenons and reasons of irony theory inits changing process in China, including the effections to domestic literary theory andcriticism's development.This paper consists of seven parts. The first part is exordium, summmized theexisting problems from the present study situation about the irony theory's Chineseprocess.This can supply the meaning of the paper's conception and further study.The second part is systematically analyse the formation of the new criticism'sirony theory, and compare it with the traditonal Western and Chinese irony concept,then summarize Brookes and Warren's critical prectice of irony theory, in order to makean accurate definition of the new criticism's irony theory, identify the paper's theme.The third part will identify the possibility and inevitability of irony theory'sChinese process, by exploring the historical context and theoretical background.The fourth and fifth part studied the situation of theoretical and practical acceptance of the new criticism's irony theory in China respectively, showing itsChinese process in detail by teasing a lot of associated documents.The sixth part expounded the representations of the irony theory's Chinese process,analysed the reasons, explored the effections on the basis of the previous paper.The last part is epilogue, it's to summarize the main contents of the thesis, andbring forward the conclusion of this paper.Keywords：The New Criticism, the new criticism's irony theory, in Chinese...
