This paper analyzes the writing logics of Piano Concerto No.1(Spring) composed by Du Mingxin in terms of pitch with different focus on each chapter. First, this paper discusses the general background which may help form Du's own music language and review all the studies about him; second, it makes detailed analyses of three chapters from three different perspectives. In the chapter1, it mainly discusses the structure design methods used by the composer; in the chapter2, it analyzes the technique the composer applied to connect the theme and motivation; in the chapter3, it focuses on explaining the layout of the thematic materials as well as that of how the theme develops. Third, based on the above analysis, we may be safe to draw a conclusion that Du has devoted himself to the field of traditional tonal music. His work is a representative of this kind in China and stands for a new voice in the various branches of China's professional music creation field, which will have a profound influence. Du chooses the "ancient tradition" of tonal music as his creative foundation, while at the same time he has maintained the national aesthetic values needed to be a composer and produced this masterpiece. Just as what Li Jiti said, this is an outstanding work which is "made both for himself and the audience".
