Democratization And Integration

Democratization and integration as two mutually independent practice, their existence is reasonable, and in certain circumstances they can promote each other. Since the World War II, the international community has witnessed one and one waves of democratization, and regional integration has also taken a huge pace. Democratization after World War II boomed, and the recent movement towards democratization in the Islamic world can be seen as the fourth wave of democratization. Regional integration is also booming: the European Union, African Union, ASEAN, Organization of American States which are in the ascendant.Common progress of democratization and integration in the development of style demonstrates a link between the two. Based on the description and summary of the various regions's status of democratization and integration, I want to explain the relationship between the democratization and integration. We can get the conclusion that the basis of deepening integration is democracy; the expansion and deepening of integration provides a strong support for democracy; the two complements each other.Comparing with the actual situation in our country and facing the wave of democratization and integration, we should see that democratization is the basis for integration and we should step up reform in order to adapt to regional integration and global integration to meet the development requirements. At the same time , we should see that the advanced ideas and useful experiences brought about by the integration process which may improve the system of our country. Then we can meet the opportunities and challenges better which brought about by democratization and integration .
