With the rapid development of economic globalization and region integration, we are pleased to take note the constant reinforcement of Sino-U.S. cooperation and communications in economy. They are attached to one another closely. During the monetary crisis, China and the United States are active to conduct economic diplomacy. It is the basis for the healthy and steady development of relations between the two countries and the whole world. This paper is a qualitative study on Sino-U.S. economic diplomacy under the circumstance of the monetary crisis. The main content of this paper is the situation of Sino-U.S. economic and trade relationship under the circumstance of the monetary crisis. This paper uses the National Interests Theory of Huntington·Samuel·P and Joseph Nye, theory of Interdependence and International Cooperation of Robert.O. Keohane and Joseph Nye, from which reveal the motivation and ploy of Sino-U.S. economic diplomacy. This paper further shows the feature and essence of Sino-U.S. economic diplomacy. The results show that after the Cold War, the central issue in contemporary international relations has changed. The political and security issue which was concerned during the Cold War has been replaced by the idea of the economy and development. Sino-U.S. economic and trade ties have become a crucial part of the overall bilateral relations. Though China and the United States do not usually agree, they see eye to eye in order to adapt the changing conditions. The two sides should continue to promote Economic Internationalization Strategy in order to promote the growth of co-operative ties between the two countries.
