Ancient Chinese system of state intervention in loan contracts which was originated in the slave society of the Shang and Zhou dynasties, developed in the Qin, Han, Tang, Song, Ming and Qing dynasties, formed the unique Chinese characteristics of the loan contract system for state intervention. The Tang Dynasty which had powerful national strength and developed economy, had laid a solid foundation for contract system's development. In-depth study of the intervention of the state contract system, first of all, we should understand that the existing loan contract during the Tang Dynasty as well as the state intervention connotation is very essential.This article was a specific content of research in the tang dynasty of state loan contract intervention, which was separated from the interest on the loan agreement, loan guarantee and responsibility of breach of contract, three aspects of state intervention was presented. Through records of the historical ancient writings of state intervention on the loan contract we can realized standardization degree in the tang dynasty,including the scope of official received loans disputes, the limits for the highest interest rate and interest of the total control as well as the responsibility to bear security and so on. While penetrating the national promulgation the provision of law to the country intervention research,we were also concerned that whether the Contract Documents had the impact of state intervention. Since the original survived contract today mostly in Dunhuang and Trepan area, we had to learn more from these areas to understand the intervention of the Tang Dynasty.Finally, on the basis of the previous two chapters, we had discussed the Tang Dynasty loan contract characteristics of state intervention, tested its limits, and tried to analyze the modern significance of the tang dynasty loan contracts of state intervention.
