Educational resource is prerequisite for ideological and political education. With the emergence of community and enrichment of community educational resources, the usage of community educational resources in ideological and political education has become a topic that is of great significance both theoretically and practically. Under the instruction of pedagogic and sociology, this study investigates the status quo of the usage of community education resources in city-and-town high schools'ideological and political education.This study involves three sections. Firstly, the research prioritizes the justification for the usage of community education resources in city-and-town high schools'ideological and political education. The theoretical basis is elaborated and justified as well. Secondly, the study conducts a case survey over xx middle school, analyzing the status quo of its usage of community education resources in city-and-town middle schools'ideological and political education. Interviews and questionnaires are two main research methods that are used. What follows are objective summary and interpretation. The limitations of this school's usage of community education resources are discussed, and they are lack of usage consciousness, one-sided usage, shallowness of usage, simplification of method and utilitarianism. Last but not least, the research puts forward corresponding strategies from the three perspectives of government, school and community. That is, government, a leading role, provides support in terms of policy, capital and system. School, as subject, should intensify students'consciousness of using community educational resources, perfect the method and increase the utilization rate. Community should consciously improve the generative capacity and opening degree of resources, positively guides community inhabitants to support ideological and political education in middle schools. By the trilateral cooperation between government, school and community, solutions are expected to be found out.
