Along with steady development of law construction of China, people's brand awareness is stronger and stronger. For many geographic names are very famous and have high sociality and cultural connotations, many firms, in consideration of their huge economic value, use these geographic names as their brands for raising their products'popularity and expanding sales. Because geographic name mark are loved more and more and our Trade Mark Law is not complete in regulation of geographic trademark, the phenomenons of preregistration of geographic name mark and using these mark's exclusion to hider other competers' right of use of them are getting worse. Now geographic name mark has been the most controversial issue in trademark. This paper,across researches of some cases which appear not very frequently but are representative, such as the case of "Bai PU yellow rice wine", the case of "Bai Jia Hu", The case of lawsuit of Yun Nan Guang Ming Company Limited By Shares on Trade Review And Appraisal Board of National General Administration For Industry And Commerce, according to our national Trade Mark Law, based on the foreign legislation of trade mark, considering national scholars' statements on issue of geographic trademark, offers some proposals.
