As an important human psychological quality, attention affect human behavior in various ways.Motivation is the important field of psychology, while achievement goal orientation has been the focusing topic of in the research of achievement motivation.Many researchers have researches about the attention of table tennis players in recent years,and also have discussed achievement goal orientation of the athletes,but there is still short of the study on the relationship of goal orientation and attention quality.The idea of this thesie is: based on the related field, it analysed the attention quality and achievement goal orientation of table tennis players who have different years of training.Then find out the features of the attention and achievement goal orientation,whether there is any differences on year and gender,and whether goal orientation choice affects attention quality.The implications of this research is that it made a deeper theoretical research on this subject,provide relevant theoretical instruction for sports education and the selecting of table tennis athletes.And it is also uesful for the sports assess and monitor as well as the training of attention ability.In short it aim to improve the skills promote the sport of table tennis.Through using the method of literature review and psychological measurement and mathematical statistics,this research select 78 table tennis athletes as subjects,who come from Liaoning normal university, Dalian university.Including 42 table tennis major students,and 36 non-table tennis major students.Using the "attention test (AT)" and "task orientation and self directional questionnaire task"as measurement tools.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)In terms of attention distribution and transfer ability,table tennis major students are better than non-table tennis major students.In terms of attention stability and span,the former are also better than the later though there isn't significant differences.(2)In terms of gender,between the students of different trainning years,the girl's attention transfer ability are better than boys.And boy's attention span is higher than females.In terms of different majors,both men and femal who are tennis major students have higher distribution of attention quality.(3)Along with of the growth of year and skill,table tennis major students of attention quality continually improved.Compared with the ability of 1 years and 5 years or above,the difference is very significant;In respect of the shifting of attention,there is slightly decreased compared with the firsr and second year.The attention mobility increased significantly compared with the previous two years.There is no obvious rules in the stability and range of attention with the growth of years. (4)The achievement goal orientation of students whose major is table tennis are tend to be task orientation,reaching the highest level in the fourth years.However, table tennis major students whose trainning years are over than five yeas are tend to be more ego orientation.(5) Table tennis major students whose trainning years are different didn't show differences in achievement goal orientation on the gender.(6)Different achievement goal orientation didn't show significant influence in span and transfer of attention.But thare is difference in the distribution and stability of attention.Table tennis major students whose goal orientation are ego orientation have higher distribution of attention than table tennis major students whose are task orientation,reaching a very significant level;Table tennis major students whose goal orientation are task orientation have higher stability level of attention,reaching a significant differences.
