Study Of Problems In School Office Management Of Higher Educational Institutions And Countermeasures

In the management system in higher educational institutions, the school office plays a key role in the operation of the institution. It acts as the general executive center of the party committee and administrative offices, the consultant and assistant of the leadership, the bridge to perform coordination, and provides functions including investigation, research, supervision and other services. The duties of the school office relate with every respect so the management ability of the school office has direct impact on the teaching, research and talent cultivation, the normal operations, and reflects the educational quality and management level of the institution. Most importantly it is closely connected with the strategic development of the institution. The functioning and efficiency of the institution is influenced by the ability, effectiveness, style and state of the school office's work. Some problems now exist in the management practices in the school offices and have negative impact on the effectiveness of the office's function. Through literature analysis, questionnaires and case study, this paper analyzed the problems in the management of the school offices and gave the solutions.This paper consists of five parts. The first part explains the point of the chosen topic,related literature review and research tools.. The second one provides analysis of the duties, functions, characters and the position of the school office work in higher institution's management system. The third one sets out and analyzes the main problems in the school office work in higher institutions. The fourth part gives countermeasures to improve and strengthen the school office management from the view of higher educational institutions, school offices and the staff of the offices. In the last part we provide case study in the school office management of Henan College of Finance and Taxation.
