The way-of the great learning involves manifesting virtue, loving the people, and abiding by the highest benevolentness. This sentence of the Four Books points out the essence of higher education. In the early years of PRC, due to the impact of the Soviet model and the planned economy, science and engineering disciplinary was dominated our higher education system, while humanity education was paid fewer attentions. And this circumstance has lasted for a long time. As the development of our social economic, political and cultural, it has formed the demands of comprehensive and diversified qualified persons. Therefore, the cultivation of comprehensive human resources has become a problem which triggers the meditation of researchers on education and public policy.Science and Engineering College plays a crucial role in education and nation's construction. However, the results of education, in other words, qualified personnel have highlighted shortages, such as lacking social spirit and social knowledge. If the input of humanity education in science and engineering college is weak, the humanistic quality of science and engineering students will be inevitably poor. On the one hand, it related to the characters and value orientation of our students. On the other hand, with development of science and technology, many researches can not be finished only depend on a single discipline, so it is urgent to develop comprehensive human resources.Education is a hot topic in our society all the time. The higher education in our country experienced stages which include the start, gradually development and forming a uniform standards. The development of higher education abroad is more rapid. Through analyzing the status of the Humanity Education of Science and Engineering College, this research concludes the necessity and urgency of it. The research also draws the lessons from science and engineering education model in foreign science and engineering colleges which include curricular system, curricular content and practice mode. Then our college can be directed to promote the development of related educations. Humanity Education of 3 Science and Engineering College has two levels:one is how to elevate the humanistic quality of science and engineering students. The other is that for Humanities and Social Sciences students in science and engineering college, how to set up their own characteristics and competitive capability and therefore find their place and value under the background of rapidly-developing society and higher quality of talented personnel.This research combines literature and empirical research methods, and divides into five parts to explain gradually. The first part is introduction, elaborating the significance of the topic, the research status and research methods. The second part introduces the present situation of Humanity Education of Science and Engineering College, analyzing existed questions and the necessity to strength humanity education. After learning the science and engineering education model of foreign institutions, the third part mainly analyzes the experiences and inspirations.it brings to us. Based on the conclusion of previous three chapters, the fourth part points out the new ideas of Humanity Education of Science and Engineering College, and tries to solve this question from two view perspectives:strength the humanistic education and students whose subject is humanities could take selective science and engineering course that is superior in its college. At last, summary the whole paper and clarify ideas in the fifth part.
