Independent College is the new school system which comes into being during the popularized Higher Education in China. Compared with full-time undergraduate students in colleges and universities, more students have more academic learning difficulties or can not reach the required level of institutes. Therefore, the problem, which brings great difficulty to the independent institutes teaching management and ideological and political education, and also affects the quality of personnel training of independent institutes, has become increasingly serious. In recent years, many colleges with learning difficulties students implement the academic early warning system, that is, know the students with academic difficulties and take appropriate preventive and remedial measures, which have achieved good results.This article is written from the aspect of ideological and political education of the independent institutes and aimed to establish early warning mechanisms. The first part is to analyze the meaning of establishing early warning mechanism in independent institutes. The next part is to explain the reason why there are students with learning difficulties in independent institutes and the shortcomings of existing practices. The last part is to describe the procedures and standards of early warning mechanisms and pay more attention to the key factors of early warning mechanisms, that is, build a platform to play the educational function via the society, schools, teachers, parents, peers and students with learning difficulties. That will help the students make self-education and self-management ability, thus the solving of the problem will enhance the good and overall development of independent institutes.
