Many factors contribute to the differentiation of students'learning chemistry. This thesis studies the factors from both the micro and macro aspects. From the micro aspect, the individual and environmental factors are studied. The individual factor mainly refers to the differences of the students'learning motivation, learning methods and so on. The environmental factor includes the students'family environment, the teachers'teaching strategies, the teachers'charm and so on. The macro aspect involves the factors of the new chemistry curriculum of the compulsory education and the subject of chemistry itself. The study focuses on the influence of factors such as the chemistry textbook, the subject of chemistry, the individual of students and the teachers'specific teaching activities on students'chemistry learning via methods such as an analysis of tests, students'grades, a talk with some teachers and students and the study of some documents. There are some measures to reduce the differentiation: one is to stimulate and cultivate students'learning interest through experiments and multimedia; one is to develop students'self-learning ability by using proper leading and guidance strategy; one is to strengthen the communication between the school and parents so as to promote their study; one is to use unique way for each individual to relieve the situation of differentiation; the last one is to make students help each other and make progress together by team work.
