Accompany with the rapid development of science and technology,scientific literacy has become an important aspect of the National quality for the the public at the present time.It is considered as the key of national prosperity and development, and also as the foundation of a national sustainable development. And it directly affects the development of country's scientific and technological. Therefore, improve the national science literacy is the requirements of the times, It is also the major goals for science education of every country. " As the important part of natural science, Physical science does an important role in promoting the progress of material civilization and the deepening understanding of nature . Both Newton's ClassicalMechanics,modern physics theory of relativity and quantum mechanics are a tangible expression of scientific quality, scientific spirit and the physical embodiment of scientific thinking on physicists. At present, in the new round of curriculum reform, "Physical curriculum standards" set forth the main objective that is the development of each student to meet the basic needs.And improve the scientific literacy of all students. Make sure that all the students to learn how to learn, all of them improve the scientific literacy of citizens. " In order to make the students obtain scientific literacy through the learning of physics curriculum, first of all secondary school physics teachers should have a high level of scientific literacy.At present there is seldm research report about the scientific literacy of secondary school physics teacher in domestic. Through this subject research can make up this deficiencies.There are three steps in this research projects.First of all, according to scholars'literature on science literacy we divide science literacy of physics teachers into three dimensions. That is the scientific knowledge, the scientific methods and processes , the scientific spirit and attitude, and draw up the a survey about the Scientific literacy of physics teachers. Secondly, for the purpose of researching the Scientific Literacy of physics teacher at present,we use social science statistical package SPSS statistics17.0 and Microsoft Excel to do data processing on the returned questionnaires.Finally, by analysising the results of the investigating on the current status of secondary school physics teachers we obtain summarization,and put forward proposals to improve scientific literacy of physics teacher.The conclusions of our subject contains:1. The scientific literacy level of secondary school physics teachers in Fuxin City, Liaoning province is still good, but there are still some drawbacks.In the performance of scientific knowledge some teacher rely on their teaching materials too much, their structure of knowledge is imperfect. In the dimension of scientific process and method some teacher make more emphasis on knowledge of teaching, ignoring student self-inquiry learning and experimental capabilities.In the dimension of scientific spirit and attitude some teacher demonstrate understanding of new curriculum are not clear enough, leading to their theory separate from practice, another problem is that secondary school physics teachers pay insufficient attention to the educational research.2. On the other hand our subject did not show significant differences on the various dimensions of gender,age,teaching age,educational background and grades five aspects on the scientific literacy of secondary school physics teachers in Fuxin City, Liaoning province.
