With the expansion of higher education, all the countries increasingly pay attention to the quality of higher education and graduates employment. The graduates encounter a problem while the enterprises are vexed for recruiting dissatisfied graduates. The account of this situation is the graduates lack employability. Cultivating graduates employability get attention from certain counties and become an important content in the higher education reform. Australia always attached employability to the curriculum development. The result is prominent and the effect is obvious. The curriculum development may cultivate graduates employability. It is significant for ensuring the quality of higher education and solving the problem graduates faced when they find jobs.With the coming of information society, job markets are favor on the information talents. This paper is discussed the Information Systems (IS) curriculum that job market demanded. This paper aims to analysis the theory of curriculum development based on employability cultivation, clarify the policies of Australian universities IS curriculum reform, take the University of Melbourne and Queensland University of Technology as examples to analysis the Australian universities IS curriculum development and the characteristics of curriculum development.There are mainly four chapters to this paper:Chapter one:"Overview the university curriculum development which based on employability cultivation."This part firstly explores the theories of employability, which mainly include the concept of employability, the structure of employability and main models. Secondly, this part introduces the concept of curriculum and curriculum development. Chapter two:"The policies of Australian higher education IS curriculum reform."Thispart firstly analysis the background of curriculum reform and then introduce some documents and reports which relevant to the IS curriculum reform.Chapter three:"A case study of IS curriculum development in Australian universities."This part take the University of Melbourne and Queensland University of Technology as examples, respectively introduce the basic situation of the two universities and analysis IS curriculum of the two universities.Chapter four:"Some characteristics and inspiration of IS curriculum development in Australian university."...
