In today's football world, rapid counter-attack is being paid more and more attention by each team. The development of modern football reflects the features of high speed, strong competition and fast change. A lot of teams have adopted the whole defensive and whole offensive tactics to attack the whole play, the "fast" in offensive and defensive conversion is particularly prominent. In a competition, in order to catch the opponent off guard, rapid counter-attack tactics have been adopted. This tactic is a fast and effective means of attack. An effective rapid counter-attack often makes opponent's defense passive or even result in goal loss. In football competition, the phenomenon of defeating stronger opponent and obtaining goals by using rapid counter-attack tactics is often seen. In short, rapid counter-attack has become a magic weapon to win in the development of modern football. Summarized the basic characteristics of each team, as well as finishing position and application of data such as the correlation between rapid counter-attack tactics, and strive to objectively reflect the use of modern football in the basic characteristics of rapid counter-attack tactics and rules for the majority of coaches, researchers and provide a theoretical of reference. By studying the results showed that:1. Rapid counter-attack is an important standard to measure the strength of a team. According to the comparison and analysis of rapid counter-attack of the 19th World Cup, it is found that the top four teams did much better than others in rapid counter-attack tactics. The average number and success rate in rapid counter-attack were also better than others'. These four teams have average strength in middle, front and back fields. Therefore, rapid counter-attack is an important criterion to measure the overall strength of a team.2. Teams generally value the use of rapid counter-attack tactics. It is found that if this tactic is paid enough attention by each team, the number of goals scored by rapid counter-attack tactics accounts almost 50%. During this World Cup, the outcome of a match in which the weak defeated the strong or both team have same strength, is always decided by a rapid counter-attack.3. Rapid counter-attack tactics are not affected by time. Rapid counter-attack runs through the whole match. As the game progresses, in each time period there are likely to find a good opportunity to score and the number of rapid counter-attack is decided by physical distribution, tactical reasons and psychological factors of players, etc. Therefore, rapid counter-attack tactics are not affected by time.4. The top four teams in this World Cup are more capable in using rapid counter-attack than other teams. The top four teams are much better than the world's traditionally strong teams as Brazil, France, Italy and the Asian teams. Therefore it is can be drawn that the ability to use rapid counter-attack is a standard reflecting recent state of a team. Therefore, the key to improve the strength of a team is to improve the ability of rapid counter-attack.5 .The uses of rapid counter-attack tactics is affected by the score changes. The use of rapid counter-attack tactics is affected by the score changes. Rapid counter-attack is used most frequently when it is draw, followed by score leading and falling behind.6. Misspass is the most common mean to obtain goal in rapid counter-attack tactics. Misspass accounts half of all goals obtained by rapid counter-attack. This is because in the overall modern football environment of striving for the ball and high speed, the team gradually accelerates the pace of attack and defense. There are more and more intense competitions for space, the players control the ball less and less space and time for the players to control the ball, thus the failure of passing is greatly increased in the situation of high strength and high competition.7. The middle is the route which has the most rapid counter-attacks. The middle is chosen by most players as the main line to attack. The middle line is facing the middle of two opposite goals; it will be very economic no matter offensive or defensive from the view of route. Moreover, middle line is the axis; there are more players than the wings, so the rapid counter-attacks on the middle line will be more than those on the wings. In addition, in rapid counter-attack, it is wrong to rely on middle attack and give up the wings. Only the combination of middle jumping and sidewalk pulling can make the attack more holistic. 8. There are more rapid counter-attacks on center back. 8-12s rapid counter-attacks account nearly 50% of total number, which means that rapid counter-attack occurs more on center back.As the development of football, rapid counter-attack tactics in today's football matches have aroused the attention of football veterans, coaches and athletes. Rapid counter-attack requires not only high speed, but also high accuracy. It is shown that in recent World Cups, a considerable number of teams whose ball controlling time was less than 50% won the game. Many goals were obtained by rapid counter-attack. Meanwhile, many scoring place kicks like free kick and corner kick were also obtained by rapid counter-attack. So the quality of rapid counter-attack directly determines the outcome of the game. Therefore, how to improve awareness and ability of using rapid counter-attack tactics to score goals and achieve the final victory of the competition is a common goal of each team.
