The purpose of this study is to understand the process of the female with doctor's Degree gender Identity; the factors associated with the female with doctor's degree Gender Identity development. In-depth interviews are conducted to collect three Female with doctor's degree description of their gender identity development. The interview data was transcribed carefully and analyzed by the narrative analysis methods. Discuss their formation and development of gender identity of their interlaced growing up at the primary family, study experience, love and social culture etc.The article expounds from respondents. From the whole life story of finishing respondents, can be found in history the first two interrelated values effect the female with doctor's degree gender identity:One is male strong--female weak; the other one is the value of male external--female internal/dutiful wife--loving mother. When exposed to some event or experience (Such as being sure of experience, the others'sad story, Sexual harassment experience and meet models), they begin to have cast doubt on the traditional gender roles and reflect, Break the myth of male strong female weak, family-orient, Thus looking for a positive, self sure women definition at this stage. On the one hand it brings strength, Let them more confident, to know myself/do myself; On the other hand they may encounter the pull between new identity and the practice. They face big psychological conflict and struggles, and then a woman himself has the inherent definitions and a whole identity, and is not restricted to the traditional viewpoint.The results of this study are as follows:Ⅰ. Gender identity formation is a dynamic change process. Sexual factors are through the women's all life. Ⅱ. The development of gender identity experienced the process from accepting a gender role stereotypes, experiencing important events,togender consciousness awakening.Ⅲ. A few factors influence gender identity formation include:family, school, peer groups, mass communication, and important events.ⅰ. The family is a man of the earliest exposure to environmental units. According to the traditional gender culture, parents instill the traditional stereotype of gender impression, the value of male strong --female weak and male external--female internal into the children through the interaction with children. parents play an important role in the development of female gender identityⅱ. The school is the important place in female socialization,school teachers 'gender attitudes, behavior, and teaching textbooks for the male role and female character descriptions, exerts a subtle influence on female gender identityⅲ. Companion group play an important role in individual gender identity through the interaction with the companion, and know themselves through companion.ⅳ. Gender concepts the mass media disseminate, also affect women's gender identity.ⅴ. Important incidents prompt women awareness.Ⅳ. In the end, I give several Suggestions based on the above study.According to influence the development of gender identity of several major factors, From the society, family and school and mass media put forward several suggestions from several aspects to eliminate and weaken the traditional gender concepts; public the correct gender concepts and knowledge. The men and women are not restricted by the physical, psychological, social and cultural factors, to achieve the female equal, and establish the harmonious; pluralistic society.
