Modern educational technology, which has many features such as rich resource, vivid form, spanning space-time communication, multi-subject participation, multi-line interaction, provides a wider variety of reading space and free choices for both sides of teaching and learning. Its advantage is obvious, because we advocate autonomic, cooperative, exploratory learning today. In this study, I use case analyzes method, document research and interview survey methods.The participation of modern educational technology promotes the transition of the traditional teaching concept.A premade courseware creates a context beneficial to students'learning. Internet provides richer learning resources for both teachers and students. Modern educational technology make the teaching of reading become more lively, efficient, and make it possible for the students to learn autonomicly, cooperatively and exploratorily. The new model of reading instruction has emerged.However, in the specific teaching process, many teachers did not accurately grasp the status of modern educational technology.The misuse of modern educational technology resulted in the damage to the Chinese reading instruction. We have to pay attention to it.
