ISCO has widely recognized and adopted by countries internationally, the latest classification system is the 2008 version. China's job classification ceremony is the 1999 edition, although it has been revised, but there are small-scale amendments. In particular, there is a new version of the international community, China has not yet make effective work in revising job classification. In view of this, the paper chose to study International Standard Classification of Occupations, and to do comparative analysis with the Chinese classification. It may lay some foundation for the revision of Chinese occupational classification.This interpretation of the ISCO changes in different versions, a preliminary analysis of the job classification of the formation, evolution mechanism, firstly compared the ISCO and Chinese professional standards in the macro and micro aspects and give interpretation from differences. It has certain significance in the Chinese adjustment and job classification standards with international standards.Based on the comparison of different versions of the ISCO, we explore the changes of ISCO versions. Then draw inspiration by the Comparison of ISCO-08 and "occupational classification and code of China". At last we proposed adjustments to the occupational classification of China. This idea focuses on the comparison between the different versions, especially the ISCO-08 and the "Occupations Classification of China ".As many of the listed differences between different versions is illustrated. And the subsequent industrial development background was also reflected. It not only meets the basis of theoretical research but also meet the increasing practical significance. Paper is divided into four aspects.First, the generation and evolution of International Standard Classification of Occupations. It describes the principles and status of the International Standard Classification of Occupations. To compare differences during ISCO-58, ISCO-68, ISCO-88, ISCO-08 versions, and focus on minor levels differences between ISCO-88 and ISCO-08. It reflects the occupational changes resulting from the industrial restructuring. Especially the information technology industry, service industry, vocational adjustment is obvious.Second, classification process and its status. Introduction on the basis and development of China's system of classification, and new occupations are also described. The manager classification is too generally; while the seventh category transport equipment operators and related personnel division is too detailed, cumbersome and jumbled. It also reflects China's national conditions, labor-intensive industries still dominate position.Third, comparison between China's classification and ISCO-08.This part takes the ISCO-08 as the reference standard, and makes detailed level comparison between ISCO-08 and China classification. In order to search the maximum difference between the two visions, and place specified instruction between great confusion and differences.Fourth, inspiration and proposed adjustments for Chinese Classification of Occupations. By comparison, produce the set not only adapt to China's national conditions but also meet international standards. The third part of which is the focus of this article, but also the innovations. In comparison between minor and unit level many factors are more difficult to start. After constantly explore, and finally decided to adopt the "inaction" in comparison.The main innovation and conclusions of this work are as follows:Nursery managers will be a separate distinction; the national production sector managers are further divided into agriculture and forestry management, mining and industrial managers, transportation managers, construction managers, food safety managers, house security managers; The division of professional and technical personnel on certain areas of research and engineering personnel are properly combined; there should be a special classification about music teacher, physical education teacher, art teacher to improve the professionalism of teachers in these disciplines; increase social persuasion which a job to ease the pressure on people's lives; the staff of the police, fire and security, postal and telecommunications services personnel divided into categories, reflecting the transformation of government functions; make new classification on some people's health-related occupations, such as divide the optometry staff into the second largest category of health care professionals; the street vendors as a professional, to ease social pressure; nurses, the care of children and teachers assistant for a separate division to protect the rights of children.
