Probing The National Spirit Education Of Contemporary University Students

National spirit, as a specific cultural phenomenon, is the integrated embodiment of a common national character, values and ethics, the common spirit of a nation's character and outlook which is highly integrated and summarized. With profound and long traditional Chinese culture, hard working people under long-term practice of social production gradually formed a series of outstanding cultural spirit and traditions. Chinese national spirit came into being which considers patriotism as the core, unity, love of peace, industry, courage, self-improvement as the main content. College students national spirit education is the spiritual foundation and power, which firmly contribute their wisdom and strength to the motherland and the people. It is also the important factor to walk towards its civilization, progress and psychological factors such as modernization of the ideas, concepts, ethics, character, temperament, mental. Strengthening and improving the national spirit education and improving students'ideological and political quality, students can learn the Chinese long history and splendid culture, combine the national spirit and modern consciousness, draw nutrients from the national culture and spirit of the times, enhance national self-confidence, pride and sense of urgency, make efforts to achieve self-esteem, self-respect, self-reliance, self-study and become a high-quality personnel.This thesis analyzed the current situation and time value of the contemporary college students'national spirit education, research the significance of continuing the college students'national spirit education and propose some beneficial suggestions on how to strengthen the national spirit education of college students. Improving students' ideological and moral qualities, national spirit education can enhance the comprehensive quality of university students, inspire students'national consciousness, and strengthen patriotic faith in order to cultivate the qualified builders and successors for constructing socialism.On the basis of searching a lot of data, researching and analyzing the current college spirit education of Development College of Jilin Agricultural University, the writer carried out the in-depth exploration and proposed practical ways of college students national spirit education.
