As a potential educated group of higher education, the psychological state of minority students is worth being researched. From the perspective of demand and based on literature study, this paper selects two minority counties of Honghe autonomous prefecture, Yunnan as samples, and take random sampling method to research these two areas where the225middle school students whether have demand for higher education. Mainly, the paper conducts "questionnaire for minority high school students demand" to do a survey, which the questionnaire including three dimensions as the following:learning enthusiasm and target clarity, learning concept, and the regional environment and culture, with18questions in total. Students in minority areas have different demand for higher education. At the same time, for typical students, teachers and parents such as observed and interviewed in the research, by using descriptive statistics and difference analysis of statistical methods the paper shows a detailed analysis of the results.The research illustrates that the environment, culture and learning concept have big impact, while the study enthusiasm, the target but the clarity and learning ideas, regional culture and environment have little impact. The overall data analysis shows that the minority areas of higher education demand differs overall but not obvious, the total demand for higher education is different owing to these factors such as family income, children number in a family, family environment, family background, and culture affect significantly. There is no significant difference on regional differences of different students' education idea influence in research shows that:Yuanyang and Jianshui have significant differences on education needs. The study enthusiasm and the target in the clarity of the dimensions and learning concept education dimension of Jianshui is in higher demand than Yuanyang; but environment and cultural of Yuanyang effects education demand more than Jianshui. Thus it proofs that the regional environment and cultural differences in different areas of the people will have a great effect on education needs.Basing on the interview, students of different regions, parents of education demand in the local, ideas on environmental influence of culture, and the regional environment caused by differences in politics, economy, culture, education difference, especially a backward area of the complex environment of the people's education concept, which produce very greatly negative effects, ultimately it causes negative effects for the higher education needs of people there.
