| On the basis of analysis of eight years'various activity data of Anhui Agricultural University Wushu Association (AAUWA for short), and through the consultation of related records and the collection of interviews with experts, the paper elaborates the nature and significance of AAUWA. After8-year development, AAUWA with a dramatic increase of participants from the original32starters to current838members. AAUWA has improved and made progress constantly. One of the most striking achievements is that the female members has gone up constantly from only18in2002, to a record high140in2007, and to134in2010, among which there is a chairwoman, who is the only one in AAUWA history.The development of AAUWA activities embodies the association's objectives, safeguards the rights and interests of the members and exercises the social abilities of members, which makes AAUWA full of vigor and yearning. But the Association also faces quite a few difficulties such as moderate activity qualities, insufficient gears and equipments, disputable membership fee issues and poor awareness of branding, etc. The problems are the result caused by intense competition among forty-four students'organizations of Anhui Agricultural University, and they are the pushing force to promote the development of AAUWA in a sense.We can make the following conclusions therefore:1)The athletics association is important, in the higher education that develops of constitute part, is also a history development of inevitable choice;2) AAUWA first step carried out to raise a student to the interest that the martial arts exercises and promoted student comprehension martial arts culture also actively participate in martial arts fulfillment activity;3) It is the aspect that AAUWA draws on an university student most to spread martial arts essence and control the ability of one skill;4) The good competition environment promoted the development of AAUWA and higher education, inspire a contemporary university student. In light of the reality of AAUWA,the paper puts forward the following suggestions for the further development of AAUWA:1) more attention and more support from the school authority:2) construction and renovation of activity space for AAUWA and for beautification of campus:3) establishment of membership fee system and enhancement of activity quality. |
