Error Analysis is an important research approach in second language teaching. It is pointed out in Error Analysis that errors should not be avoided, but should be regarded as a natural phenomenon appearing in the process of learners'internalizing the target language. With the guidance of Error Analysis, teachers can treat students'errors scientifically. Through collecting, classifying and analyzing errors, teachers can adopt reasonable error correction strategies and take effective measures to improve students'foreign language level. English writing is a difficult problem for English study on a long term basis, so this thesis suggests practical measures to help students treat their errors in English writing from the perspective of Error Analysis, improving writing skills and inspiring students'enthusiasm to English study.This thesis is divided into three chapters to discuss relative problems. The first chapter is about three theories related Error Analysis, including Contrast Analysis, Error Analysis and Interlanguage. The second chapter is about error correction and related problems. In the third chapter, the author takes senior high school students'writing errors as examples, applies Error Analysis to solve practical problems, and provides teaching methods and enlightenments in the actual teaching process. In the section of conclusion, the writer confirms the effect of Error Analysis in senior high school writing teaching.
