| With rapid development of Mobile communication technology, communication networks and Internet increasingly integrated, mobile Internet has fulfilled the user's wish of anytime anywhere online to communicate and gain information. As many Internet applications is booming, data transmission speed of third generation mobile communication networks can not satisfy for multimedia communication and the Internet of things, and people puts forward higher requirement on compatibility, transmission rate and cost of mobile communication networks. It is urgent to develop new generation mobile communication system. Presently, 4G communication system is the most advanced technology in mobile communication field. "4G" is the abbreviate of the fourth generation mobile communication, people studies standards of 4G, network construction, terminal application development, etc. The key features of 4G are fast and efficient transmission, intelligentize and compatibility with other system. With the coming of 4G era, information environment will change, and the request for library will be higher. Library need utilize the latest technology, adjust information resource types, service mode and service concept. In the future, Library will hold favorable position in information service field.Mobile library is the result of combining mobile communication network and library, with real-time, mobility, initiative and individuation characteristics. As 4G networks will construct and apply in the near future, mobile library's functions and services will also change in many ways. Based on the development trend of mobile communication technology and the characteristics of 4G communications networks, analyzes the necessity and feasibility of applying 4G communication technology in libraries, with emphasis on the development of mobile location services in the 4G era, discusses the mobile location service taking The National Library for example, and finally proposes solution for library to face the 4G era. I hope that the research results from this paper provide a little reference for construction and development of mobile libraries in 4G environment. |
