With the prosperous development of market economy, more and more retail stores use chain management to expand sales and market impact, and improve their competitiveness, but the traditional payment system ECR(Electrical Cash Register) can not meet the complex network requirements, worse still the ECR's user interface is not very friendly. However, the later PC Sales system is usally bulky, expensive, and hard to carry, so many disadvantages restrict the development of the market. So the wireless embedded sale system which is based on the Linux operating system and GPRS technology should be shipped born, it is by virtue of small size, low cost, friendly interface and many other advantages become the darling of the sales market. This paper is just the design and implementation of this sales system which can adapt to market demand.This paper researched and designed the wireless sale-register sytem based on embedded Linux and GPRS technology, so users can use sale terminal to handle kinds of sale data, and generate the sales reports, then make the sales data into electronic flow in some fixed format, at last send the electronic flow to server by GPRS, ensure that managers can see all the sales data of the sale terminal.This paper has done the following work:1,In order to customize the suitable operate system used by wireless sale terminal ST-Linux(Sale-Terminal Linux), this paper research the cutting techniques of Linux system. This paper proposed a cutting method named function called reference graph(FCRG), using this method to construct the application's FCRG, so achieving the function level of cutting. This method is compared with modular cutting method, and the result shows that relationship-based is more effective, and the capable of the system is less about 20%than modular cutting method.2,This paper analyses and researches the wireless sales system which is implemented based on ST-Linux and GPRS technology, and achieves modular design, ensuring the independence of various modules so that easy to develop and maintenance.3,This paper researches the exist problems of the designed wireless sale system, and proposes a method of the optimization of database designing, data recovery mechanism when power is off, data synchronization strategy of the system. And I implement them in this system.4,This paper proposes multi-threaded-I/O muliplexing algorithms to solve the shortness of accessing sever, and design the sever application based on this algorithms. The experiment results show its effectiveness.
