Abstract/Summary:
In order to control the quality of all kinds of projects for municipal construction and evaluate the value of the projects, numerous lossless detecting technologies could be used, including GPR, which is a cheaper and more accurate way to do quality control. Recently Pulse GPR is studied and used widely; it is a technique to detect the objects underground lossless by ultra-wideband electromagnetic pulse, and will be made full use for its advantages of high resolution, easy to operate and low cost, and so on.In this study we described the development and application of GPR, and introduced its basic concepts of principle and composition briefly, then talked about ADS RF budget simulation in detail and pointed out its theoretical basis and the process for dealing with data. Furthermore, we studied multi-level simulation to GPR front-end RF transceiver by ADS RF budget simulation, and analyzed the impact of antenna and circuit to system, in order to explore any kind of circuit with better function and provide the basis of estimating the technical indicators more reasonable.At last, the basis of FDTD numerical simulation and the application of GprMax2D software were mentioned. And we found from an example that there was a better effect for simulation by GprMax2D software, which was used to simulate the ideal municipal constructions, such as testing subgrade, detection of municipal underground pipeline and concrete structures. And it would be an effective, economic and excellent tool for the development of subsequent signal processing module of GPR.
