With the development of network and computer software, the service oriented architecture(SOA) has become the dominant method of software product development and system construction. For an application systems based on SOA,people are no longer just satisfied with the accuracy of function, but the performance of the service such as the service's reponse time has become increasingly demanding. Hence, the research on theory and technology of SOA performance analysis is realistic and urgent. With the development of Web technology, Web services technology is widely used in the SOA system. Web service quality, especially for the Web service performance commonly used to evaluate the importance of performance standards for SOA. How to evaluate the performance of the service whether meet customer needs is the focus of the essay questions. In this paper first analyzes the performance of the static factors of SOA: operating platform, network elements and service factors and dynamic factors that affect system performance - user load. Through the analysis of the affecting factors of these, we can choose the suitable method to assessment service performance. In order to assess the performance of Web services, in this paper, the services are divided into two types:individual services and composite services. In this paper, the author uses the Queue model M/M/S to analysis the individual services. And in this paper gives an approach based on stochastic Petri net that can evaluate the performance of composite services. As we analysis the performance problem in two case,we can get a fine algorithm of performance evaluating.Through these service performance evaluation models,we can effectively assess the performance of services, while helping us to detect potential system performance issues.
