As the products of intelligent satellite communication stations are upgraded continuously,traditional digital receiver can't meet the requierments of new products. However, sharpcompany has developed a new digital receiver named BS2F7VZ7700 recently,and it is powerfulenough to satisfy the requierments of new satellite communication stations. AVL is a testing andmanipulative sotfware to S2F7VZ7700, which is developed on X86 and Windows platform.However, the control-platform of satellite communication station is based on RAM9 and Linuxoperating system. In order to resolve the application of BS2F7VZ7700 in the new satellitecommunication stations, it's necessary to migrate the AVL software from Window platformbased on X86 to Linux platform based on ARM9.The paper studies the software migration technology from windows to linux platform, bythe example of AVL software. Firstly, the paper discusses the theory of software portability,incuding the analysis of portability and the key study of the design and implement ofportability. Secondly, the paper analyzes the differences between two platforms and theinfluences on migration from different aspects, such as architecture, system interface, compiler,GUI and so on, and then summarizes the questions that appear frequently during the process ofmigration. Afterward, the paper puts forward a migraion method--module redesign, and doesfurther research on the method from theory and implement two aspects, then formulates themigration scheme for AVL software with the method. Finally, the paper implements thetrans-platform migration by bringing forward solutions to different problems, furthermore,experiments proves that AVL software can run normally on the object platform and meet therequierments of new satellite communication stations.The paper achieves the application of AVL software in intelligent satellite communicationstations for the first time, so it has important applied meaning. At the same time, the migrationtechnologies discussed in paper are not only useful to the migration from windows to linuxplatform, but also valuable to migrations between other platforms.
