SC FDMA (Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access) was selected as the 4G network uplink transmission scheme,which is mainly based on the fact that SCFDMA has a much lower PAPR( Peak to Average Power Ratio) than the OFDM technology, while its design complexity is similar to OFDM. Therefore, researching on SC FDMA technology has become one of the most popular tendencies among the foreign and domestic researchers and scientists, and it has many research branchs, including the methods of further reducing SC FDMA PAPR value , integration of MIMO with SC FDMA and so on.Under this trend, this thesis focuses on doing further research on the two aboved aspects and puts forward some new and improved ideas. For further reducing the SCFDMA PAPR value , this paper firstly gets a conclusion that when using the traditional raised cosine window as the transmitter pulse shaping function, its roll off factor's value should select near 0.2 in order to gain the best system performance, then a new Kaiser window function is proposed to replace the traditional raised cosine window function in this paper ,and the result shows the system could achieve a much lower PAPR. Finally, this paper puts forward two MIMO SC FDMA models based on the MIMO spatial multiplexing and the transmit diversity mode, respectively. It is obtained that MIMO LFDMA (Local SC FDMA) technology is more suitable for LTE Advanced uplink transmission scheme than MIMO DFDMA (Distributed SC FDMA ).
